Performance for the residents of Eastgate House Retirement Housing, Bury St Edmunds, October 2026

Thank you both once again for giving the residents of Sanctuary house, Eastgate Street such a lovely concert.

Duncan and I counted 15 people in total which included Gabby, ourselves and our friends from Shimpling, Mary and Charlie. (Donna listened to the concert from her office next door and really enjoyed it too)
4 of the residents who had been very eager to attend were unwell, which was a pity.

The concert was a delight with Adrene and Anne artfully dressed in matching outfits, playing their two beautiful instruments, flute and Celtic harp to perfection. The concert was perfectly pitched to include well known favourites like “Greensleeves” and numerous much loved and beautiful film scores such as “Dances with Wolves” and “The Mission” . The residents very much enjoyed being asked to name each film, as well as the composer. This cleverly got everyone involved with great humour and fun with winners receiving a little prize for answering correctly.

Music is so beneficial for us all and a very good memory booster. It was a real treat for the residents.
